Casino Regina occupies Regina's former Union Station. The last VIA train left the station on January 16, 1990. In 1991 the federal government designated the building a heritage site. Its conversion to a casino was approved in 1994, and a renovation followed in 1995. The doors re-opened in 1996, this time as Casino Regina.
SaskGaming, the Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation, operates the casino. Since June 1, 2023 it has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan, or LGS. SaskGaming kept running the casino through that change.
Opening hours
Monday to Thursday, the doors open at 9am and close at 4am. On Fridays and Saturdays the casino stays open 24 hours. Sunday is the exception. The casino's own pages give different Sunday hours, so this guide prints none. A call to 1-800-555-3189 settles it before a Sunday visit.
Crossroads, in the west gaming area, keeps its own schedule: 9am to 2am Sunday to Thursday and 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays. Its bar serves from 12pm to 2am, and the kitchen runs 11:30am to 2am. All times are Saskatchewan time, Central Standard Time all year with no clock change. The open-now panel on this page reads these hours against the clock in Saskatchewan. Holiday hours should be checked on the casino's own site.
Slots, tables and poker
The gaming floor holds over 600 slot machines, with denominations from $0.01 to $5.00. More than 20 live table games run alongside them. These include seven blackjack tables, three roulette tables, baccarat, Three Card Poker, Chase the Flush and eight poker tables. There are also three standalone dealer assist podiums and 54 Touch Bet terminals.
Poker has its own room. The Poker Room opens at 12pm and closes at 4am Sunday to Thursday, and at 6am on Friday and Saturday. Limit games range from $1-$2 to $100-$200. No Limit games run from $1-$2 to $10-$25. Private tables are booked at least four days ahead through the Poker Room at 306-787-2950.
Food, shows and a bed
Union Station Restaurant + Bar serves from 9am to 10:30pm Monday to Thursday. Friday runs 9am to 1am, and Saturday 8am to 1am. On Sunday the hours are 8am to 10:30pm, with a brunch buffet from 11am to 2pm. Reservations go through 306-781-7000.
The Show Lounge hosts more than 200 events every year. It holds 716 for regular seating shows and 900 for general admission shows. Every Show Lounge event is 19+.
Casino Regina has no hotel. Players Club members get discounts at downtown partner hotels: Delta, DoubleTree and Wingate. The card is shared with Casino Moose Jaw, and points expire only after 12 months of inactivity.
At the door
Casino Regina is at 1880 Saskatchewan Drive, Regina, Saskatchewan S4P 0B2, phone 1-800-555-3189. The minimum age is 19, and ID is compulsory. Staff may ask for government-issued ID at any time.
Smoking and e-cigarettes are not allowed on the gaming floor; designated smoking areas are outdoors. Backpacks and duffle bags stay out, and devices are not allowed at table games or in Touch Bet pits. Approved service animals and guide dogs are permitted. A GameSense Info Centre is on site, and GameSense staff answer at 306-787-2122.
Play happens in the building alone: the casino has no mobile app and no online gaming. The casino warns that falsified social media ads using its name for online platforms are a scam. It names playnow.com as Saskatchewan's only legal gaming website. The nearest other casino in a straight line is Casino Moose Jaw, 65.9 km away.
