The casino and the Nation
Dakota Dunes Casino opened in August 2007 on traditional Whitecap Dakota Territory near Saskatoon. In December 2025 it had 373 employees, 73 percent of them First Nation.
Phase 1 of an expansion ended with a ribbon-cutting on December 18, 2025. It re-opened a newly expanded Smoking Room and added 11,500 feet of gaming floor. Whitecap Dakota Nation Chief Darcy Bear spoke in a SIGA release of the same date. He said: "This expansion of the Dakota Dunes Casino is timely as we construct the Dakota Dunes Thermal Spa on the resort side of the property."
Dakota Dunes Resort, on the same property, is Whitecap Dakota Nation's resort and separate from SIGA. It has 155 guest rooms and suites.
Food, shows and RV stalls
Sevens Sports Bar runs its dining room 11am to 12am daily and its lounge 11am to 2am daily. The box office at Guest Services is open 10:00am to 12:00am daily. All events are 19+.
Ten RV stalls each have 20, 30 and 50 amp service. A stay is registered for 5 days, with 15 days at most. RV guests register with a SIGA Rewards card at Guest Services, as at every SIGA casino. There are no reservations, and every RV guest must be 19+.
